Striving to increase the quality of life for all our residents.

Welcome!

For over 30 years, the Residence Hall Assembly has improved the quality of life of Cal’s residents through legislation, advocacy, large-scale events, and partnerships with other campus organizations. We are an officially recognized student government that advocates for our residents on a University, local, state, and national level while representing the residential community on administrative campus committees. We are overseen by Cal’s Residential Life department, and affiliated with the Pacific Affiliate of College University Residence Halls (PACURH), as well as the national NACURH.

WHAT DOES RHA DO?

We strive to create a better experience for all students living in the residence halls and apartments. We advocate for our residents and increase the quality of residential life through legislation, sponsorships, and large-scale programming.

President Fatima Gordon on her goals for her second term:

β€œLast year, I strengthened our organization by restructuring compensation, fostering RSO collaborations, and tackling equity issues.

This year, I’m committed to making tangible impacts for residents: expanding our microscholarship program, improving Residence Hall systems, and preparing the organization for a strong transition after I graduate.”
